Australian wine label Tempus Two is expanding its presence in the UK retail market with new listings for its Quartz Series wines at leading supermarkets Tesco and Morrisons. Owned by Australian Vintage, the premium wine brand has seen notable success in the UK and is now building on that momentum with wider distribution.

The Quartz range, which includes a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Shiraz, first launched in the UK in September 2019. As of 5 April, Tesco stores across the country will stock the Quartz Sauvignon Blanc and Quartz Shiraz (RRP: £9), while Morrisons will offer the Quartz Chardonnay alongside the Shiraz (RRP: £9). The full range is already available at Sainsbury’s.

The increased availability marks a significant step forward for Tempus Two in the UK market, as the brand strengthens its identity as a modern, premium offering within the competitive grocery channel.

A fast-growing brand in the UK

According to Julian Dyer, chief operating officer of Australian Vintage, the expansion aligns with the company’s broader strategy to build Tempus Two’s presence in the UK through a premium lens. “Tempus Two is now one of the fastest growing brands in the UK grocery channel, seeing 103.8% year on year growth and is now worth nearly £4 million in the UK,” he said. “Our new listings are the perfect next step in continuing our success.”

Dyer explained that the brand’s focus remains on being aspirational and contemporary, aiming to deliver high-quality wines that enhance both everyday moments and special celebrations. “Our premium product portfolio adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to social occasions and celebrations, and we are incredibly proud to be able to inspire new customers to enjoy our wines,” he added.

Offering style and sophistication in everyday drinking

The Quartz Series follows the successful launch of Tempus Two’s Silver Series, which entered the UK market in 2017. The Quartz range was designed to take the premium experience a step further, offering consumers a way to explore more refined varietals and elevate their wine drinking with an accessible, stylish option.

Each of the Quartz wines is crafted to deliver balanced, expressive flavours. The Chardonnay is described as an aromatic white with citrus and white peach notes, finishing crisp and clean. The Sauvignon Blanc highlights bright grapefruit and gooseberry aromas, complemented by a smooth, herbaceous finish. Meanwhile, the Quartz Shiraz is noted for its ripe berry flavours, generous length, and smooth, elegant finish.

Winemaker Andrew Duff previously noted that the Tempus Two team has focused on creating cleaner, drier red wine styles that celebrate fruit purity over heavy oak influence—contributing to the wines’ broad appeal in a maturing UK wine market.

Strengthening the Australian wine presence in the UK

The new listings with Tesco and Morrisons are a crucial part of Australian Vintage’s ambition to build a strong, branded portfolio that connects with both new and existing consumers in the UK. By targeting wine drinkers looking for something more refined but still affordable, Tempus Two is successfully bridging the gap between everyday and premium wine segments.

Beyond flavour and design, the brand’s growth speaks to evolving UK consumer preferences—where quality, clarity, and visual appeal all matter. As more shoppers lean toward wines that combine sophistication with approachability, the Tempus Two Quartz Series appears well positioned to become a staple in British wine aisles.

With new placements in major supermarkets and sustained growth across the UK market, Tempus Two continues to prove that Australian wines have a strong role to play in the premium wine conversation.
